Let's change the way plastics are produced and used.

The singular mission of MicroGREEN Polymers is to provide the plastics industry and the world with environmentally sound plastics technologies that offer substantial economic advantages.

Twenty years ago researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and later at the University of Washington, discovered that if you put plastic under pressure and expose it to a gas, such as CO2, it will become saturated with that gas while in the solid state. By exposing the saturated plastic to sufficient heat to soften it rather than melt it, the gas nucleates into billions of bubbles, held in place by the solid state plastic, so that the whole structure expands in a controllable manner resulting in a low density plastic with the same chemistry.

Eight years ago our founders realized that applying this technology to the most recycled plastic on earth would result in dramatic improvements in sustainability.

The "Micro" part of our name is an abbreviation of microcellular technology, while "GREEN" connotes the eco-friendly nature of our technology. But we also realize that the ”GREEN” benefits of Ad-air ® technology relate to bottom-line benefits. Quite simply, using less plastic costs less.

These days, our CEO, Tom Malone, and Co-Founder, Krishna Nadella, are committed to both shades of green. MicroGREEN offers solutions that are both environmentally and economically sustainable.
