An Emerging New-Technology Company in the Plastic Industry
MicroGREEN’s management team has in the four years since the Company was founded, accomplished a number of important objectives, including:
- Successfully produced a deep-draw, insulated hot-drink cup using 100% recycled PET (RPET).
- Obtained exclusive rights to three University of Washington patents, and has since developed additional technology for which patents are pending in 35 countries. The Company currently has patent protection for its technology in the US, Europe and Japan.
- Obtained four Washington state research grants providing support for research valued at over $300,000. These research grants resulted in significant new intellectual property relating to MicroGREEN’s core technology.
- Signed the Company’s first royalty-bearing license with a Japanese company in January 2005.
- Extended MicroGREEN’s licensing efforts to Europe with the addition Dr. Gerard Mavel, a long time European plastics industry professional.
- Continuing negotiations with many plastic product manufacturers and end-users to make its technology available through licensing arrangements.
