About MicroGREEN Polymers (MGP)ADVANCED PLASTICS FOR EVERDAY LIVINGMicroGREEN is a thermoformed expanded plastics company concerned about the environment. Our patented/patent pending, eco-friendly processes will promote a sustainable future across many industries and countries. Greg Branch and Krishna Nadella learned about microcellular plastics at the University of Washington while doing graduate work in Mechanical Engineering. Working with a "foaming" process patented by the university, they went on to develop their own patents (pending) to improve the process and enable deep-draw thermoforming of common thermoplastic polymers such as PET (polyethylene terephthalate) and polystyrene. The pair formed MicroGREEN Polymers, Inc. in 2002 and built a team of professionals to commercialize this unique process. The "micro" portion of the name is derived from microcells and the "green" is drawn from the eco-friendly nature of the products and process. Today the company has the exclusive rights to produce or license out the technology in the US, Europe and Japan. MicroGREEN is currently working with a "Fortune 100" company on a joint development project and is actively looking to develop other joint manufacturer relationships with the potential for granting licenses in specific markets.
